Unity of Tacoma recognizes everyone is unique! We all learn, express and grow in our own ways. We are here to support you in engaging your spiritual faculties in ways that are meaningful to you. Spiritual growth isn't confined to Sunday mornings. That's why Unity of Tacoma has developed many different ways to get involved-- from Chaplain Team to Vitality Team, from church services to meditation services, from small group study to one-day workshops-- there is a place for everyone at Unity of Tacoma.

Service Teams

Youth Ministry - Creates engaging classes and events for youth and families

Chaplain Team - Offers prayer support on Sundays and via the prayer box

Vitality Team - Organizes community events and outreach programs

Board of Trustees - Prayerfully manages the business of the church

Events & Programs

Faith in Action - Our annual fall program utilizes art, drama, small group study and Sunday messages to create our biggest program of the year.

A Course In Miracles - This book study meets weekly on Tuesdays at the home of Bonnie Huff.

Unity Basics - A conversational introduction to Unity of Tacoma and the Unity movement.

Spiritual Roundtable -  Small group discussion every Wednesday at 7pm following our Midweek Meditation.

Outreach and Social Action

Baby Shower- A diaper and formula drive to benefit Nourish Pierce County, this food drive begins on Mothers' Day and concludes on Fathers' Day.

Gay Pride - Unity of Tacoma has participated in Seattle Pride and Out in Tacoma. In 2015 we joined a group of churches marching under the banner "Prays Well With Others" at Seattle Pride.

Art on the Ave - Unity of Tacoma has been a presence at Art of the Ave in Tacoma, offering a place for artistic expression and to connect with information about our community.

All-Church Picnic - Each summer, our congregation gathers with family and invites the community to join us in a local park for potluck, sing-a-longs, games and conversation.

Bears in Chairs - We fill our sanctuary each December with stuffed toys. These are collected and delivered to Reman Hall in Tacoma for distribution to youth in foster care and detention. For many local youngsters, this is the only gift they receive at Christmas.
