Please accept my personal invitation to be part of Unity of Tacoma. It is my greatest honor and privilege to serve this congregation.
I am a relative newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, having functioned as Senior Minister at Unity Center of Tacoma since September 2005. Born and raised in Texas, I first discovered Unity in Austin, where my passion for Unity’s teachings and my call to ministry led me to move to UnityVillage MO in 1989.
I worked at Unity for more than 12 years, first as a manager, then as a writer for Silent Unity, the international prayer ministry of the Unity movement. Immediately following ordination, I was Senior Minister at Unity Center of Columbia MO.I still write messages for Daily Word on a contract basis.
Family is important to me; my son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons live in Missouri, and my granddaughter lives with me. I have a younger son in college in Florida, and the rest of my family are scattered along the Gulf Coast of Texas.
A life-long student, I have an Associate of Arts in Communication from Austin (TX)Community College and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from University of Missouri-Kansas City. I graduated from Unity's Ministerial Education Program's Class of 2001 and was ordained the same year.
Stories and the art of story-telling are a favorite topic of mine, and especially a passion when they come in the form of movies. I also enjoy a variety of activities, including photography, art, writing, reading, the Internet, traveling, and hanging out with my grandchildren.
Most of all, I enjoy connecting with people on a personal basis as we discover ways to bring the Spirit of Life and Love into greater expression in our lives and in the world.
